01. Initial contact
You've taken the first step by checking out my work on the website, but you still need to click that "Contact Me" button and fill out the form to request my full wedding brochure. You can look over the pricing and contract, and then schedule a call to get any questions answered.
When you decide to book with Koontz Photography, you just need to fill out the information in the contract and pay the deposit. You've now secured your wedding date, and we can start planning. I can't wait to hear all about your wedding plans!
03. Engagement Session
We will schedule a time and location that fits your schedule and vision. On the session day we will have a blast learning about each other, and getting you used to being in front of the camera. I'll give you some tips and tricks on how to look your best in your wedding photos.
04. Timeline & Lists
A month prior to your wedding, I will be e-mailing out a questionnaire for you to fill out about your wedding details including times and vendors. 1-2 weeks before your wedding we will arrange a call to go over the timeline and make sure we have all the pertinent information like family lists and venue rules/parking info.
05. Wedding Day
On your wedding day, it is time to let all your planning fall into place and just enjoy the day with your friends and family. Together we will have fun making memories that will last a lifetime, and you'll have the photos to prove it!
06. Image Delivery
If your package included a wedding blog, I will be e-mailing you a form so that I can include your favorite parts of your wedding day. I will have a vendor gallery ready and sent to all of your vendors within a week along with a blog with linkbacks to those vendors. Your full wedding gallery will be delivered 4-8 weeks after your wedding date depending on the season.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Travel over 50 miles from DeLand, FL is billed at .60/mile roundtrip. Any travel over 2 hours away requires a one-night hotel stay in addition to mileage. Any travel over 6 hours away requires airfare and two night hotel stay. Tolls and Parking will be billed after the wedding date, and receipts supplied if needed.
How long does it take to recieve the gallery after engagement session?
Galleries are generally delivered between 1-2 weeks after the session date, depending on the season.
What if we want something extra for our engagement session?
All ideas are welcomed! While Koontz Photography doesn't provide props, smoke bombs, or any extra items for your session, I highly encourage you to be creative and go for it! There are several companies out there who can help you plan a great setup for your session. You will be responsible for booking the venue, planner, or other vendors needed.
When should we plan our engagement session?
If you are planning to use the images for "save the date" cards, invitations, or as decor for your wedding it is important to make sure that you plan your session at least a month before you need to order products. Generally I reserve weekends for weddings, so I book most Engagement sessions on week days. The best time of day for your session is about 2 hours before sunset.
Can we include our dog/pet into the engagement photos?
Of course! We just suggest bringing a handler along with you who has water, treats, toys, or anything else your pet may need to stay comfortable during our session. It is also your responsibility to check with the location to make sure that pets are allowed.
How do we decide on the location for our engagement photos?
Is there something special in your relationship that you’d like to incorporate into your session? Possibly a favorite park, a favorite date spot, or where you met or got engaged? Anything can be beautiful from a city street to a garden.
The main thing to keep in mind is that the focus is on you and I want you to be comfortable. If you are generally a shy person, you might not want to plan on a location where there will be a lot of people. Don’t forget that props, pets, and vehicles are always welcome if allowed at the location.
You also have to plan ahead and be prepared for entry fees or location permits.
