Two years ago I met Ashley and Jeff to take their engagement photos while they were on vacation on Saint George Island. The couple had found my photography through a mutual friend who recommended me. Two years later, I made the trek back over to Saint George Island with my friend and assistant Jenn Ross to photograph Ashley and Jeff's wedding ceremony. The couple's family came from Texas, Florida, and other places to spend a week together celebrating the July 4th week, as well as doing wedding party things and other fun events like a bridal shower, July 4th parade, sand castle building competition, rehearsal dinner, family photos, and then the wedding. After the wedding, I even heard there were going to be jet ski rentals! 

I'm really loving the smaller weddings where families come together and spend a weekend or week together on vacation leading up to the wedding. Something about it is just so much more relaxed through the entire thing, even through little mishaps like the best man splitting his pants (oh yes, I took photos).
