I first met Alayna when I photographed her younger brother's graduation photos. We talked about college and band and all sorts of things. That night I went into labor with my daughter, and when I came home a few days later, I finished up the graduation gallery and sent it. Fast forward to almost a year later, and I received an email inquiry from Alayna's mom about wedding prices. I spoke to Alayna on the phone, we set up the engagement photos, did the engagement photos... and I still hadn't put two and two together that I had met Alayna before. I'm just going to say it was because I went into labor, so that day was a complete blur by the time it was over. I get to the wedding, and I see her brother is one of the groomsmen, and it finally hit me. That's why they looked familiar! If I every seem to forget your face or name, don't take it personally, it will click eventually!
Alayna and Jacob were engaged on the beach, so it was only fitting that their wedding was a beach theme too. They chose The Shores Resort, which has a great terrace overlooking the beach. A great way to get married on the beach, but without all the sand. Their reception was on the top floor in the ballroom which overlooked the beautiful blue ocean. Alayna and Jacob entered into a choreographed first dance that blew everyone away. The first dance was followed by toasts by the best man and maid of honor. After dinner we snuck away for some photos on the beach during sunset and got some beautiful photos. You'll just have to check them out below! The dancing went into the night and ended with everyone gathering on the dance floor waving ribbons around the couple. Alayna and Jacob made their exit and escaped down the service elevator. Congratulations to the bride and groom!
