June is LGBT Pride Month commemorating the Stonewall riots. I've saved some great LGBT weddings to post during the month of June to celebrate the pride of being able to legally marry in the US, overthrowing years of social shame and stigma. #LoveisLove
Shawn and Bill came to me through Lily & Lime, excited for their wedding in Rollin's College Knowles Memorial Chapel. We met up before the wedding at Lake Eola to do some photos of them together, and then went to the college to take a few more with family and friends before their 6pm wedding. We had to fight the crowds, because Knowles Chapel is a great photo spot. I counted at least 7 other photographers out that day, and so we had to make sure they weren't in our background, and we weren't in theirs! It was a gorgeous fall day, and the pictures came out wonderful! During the wedding the two rings were passed through the guests to hold and make a prayer or wish on. Two of their friends sang beautiful songs, and then everyone joined in. There was a mass where Shawn and Bill fed each of their guests bread and wine. Then beautiful vows before they were finally wed. After the wedding we went to 310 Lakeside Event for the reception where there was so much music and dancing it light up the whole night!
