I was going to wait till closer to Halloween to publish this blog, but we are still 6 months away, and I think we could all use some glorious gothic fun right about now. So, a mutual friend of Jody and I arranged for this wonderful wedding photo session. Jody and Brett were married at sunrise in a hot air balloon over Orlando on Halloween morning. The original plan was for me to meet them when they landed, and get some photos of them disembarking, but every first is a learning experience. I never realized that hot air balloons don't really plan where they are going to land. They just let the winds take them, and have some pre-authorized spots that they can choose from to land in. So, as the winds would have it that morning, the hot air balloon landed early, and in a completely different spot than predicted, so sadly I was unable to catch up to them to get photos of the landing.
But, they did plan ahead and carved a pumpkin and bought some smoke bombs for some gothic wonderland fun. Brett is a Marine, but also has some hidden talents, like creating Jody's bouquet! Enjoy the photos from their wedding shoot!
Gotta love this behind the scenes shot of the best man and maid of honor helping out. You can't do one of these shoots without assistants!
