On December 8th, my friend Melanie took my kids and I to the Orlando Renaissance Festival. Located on Turkey Lake at Bill Fredrick Park, this intimate festival is full of vendors, food, and fun! Our favorite performance of the day was by Cirqa Brava, Marina and Sophia are a talented duo performing on silks and lyra with a combination of magic and humor. The girls and I were laughing so hard, it was an amazing start to our day. Later in the day we enjoyed some Viking combat, Tomato Torment an insult comedy show, Hips of Destruction bellydancers, an escape room, and a costume contest! My girls were even knighted as Dames by the Duke or Orlando! At the end of the faire, we went down by the lake for a photo shoot, which went from me taking photos of Melanie and my kids, to my kids taking photos and directing Melanie on where to stand and how to pose.
