Travel:
We are located in the Deland/Daytona Beach, FL area. Over 35 miles, we charge 35¢ per mile and $20.00 per hour of travel time.

FAQ
How will payment work?
When booking your date, we will require a 50% down payment at the time of signing the contract. We accept cash, checks, cashier’s checks, and Paypal. The remaining 50% is to be paid on the date of delivery of sample photograph CD. If you want the optional web gallery hosting the remaining 50% is due at the wedding. Photos should appear online within 1 week of the wedding. The photo proofs will not be released until we have received the second half of the payment.
The Reservation Deposit of 50% is non-refundable, even if the date is changed or the wedding cancelled for any reason. The Reservation Deposit will be refunded if Koontz Photography & Design is unable to keep the reservation for any reason (More details about this can be found in the contract).
Will my photographs appear on your website/blog?
When signing the contract it is agreed that Koontz Photography & Design may display and use the photographs taken for advertising, display, website and internet promotion, photographic contests, public display such as in malls, photography books, photography instructional books, store fronts, window displays, studio display, television advertising, website advertising, magazine advertising and any other purpose thought proper by us.
A short slideshow might be made for our Blogspot as an example for potential clients. If this is not okay with you, or any part of your wedding party, please make sure to strike the appropriate paragraph from the contract prior to signing it.
Exclusivity
By signing the contract it is understood that Koontz Photography & Design will act as the sole and exclusive wedding photographer. Because of the fact that flashes from guest’s cameras may ruin shots taken by us, by signing the contract, you acknowledge that you are responsible for notifying all of your guests that guest photography is not permitted during the portrait sittings.
How long will it take for me to receive my proof CD?
You can expect to receive your proof CD in 1-3 weeks depending on the volume of weddings. Please note that the finished product will look brighter than the proofs. The proof photos are low resolution un-edited photos for you to choose from. After you have chosen which images you would like to receive, post processing will take from 4-8 weeks and delivery of finished photographs will be delivered soon after.
Will I get a slideshow of my photographs?
If you would like a slideshow of your wedding photographs, please see the prices on our Slideshow page. If you purchased the Gold or Platinum wedding package from us, get an additional $50.00 off a 21-25 minute slideshow of your wedding photos!
How long will I be able to order reprints of my wedding photos?
You will be able to order reprints for 6 months after the final product is delivered to you. After that time you can purchase the high-res .jpg file which will be delivered on CD or DVD. Please ask for details about pricing.

Located in the DeLand/Daytona Beach, FL area, Koontz Photography & Design is a husband-wife team that is passionate about photography and about life. Joshua Koontz
Joshua has studied with the New York Institute of Photography, and worked under a master craftsman (awarded by the PPA).
Daniella Koontz

Style:
We use a combination of photojournalism and traditional wedding photography. During the pre-wedding consultation we ask the clients to give us their vision of how they want their wedding photographed. If there is something that you’ve seen done, and you’d like it to be reproduced at your wedding, let us know! We listen and take notes so that We can incorporate your artistic ideas in with our own.
We like to capture subjects in a very fun, natural, and romantic way that tells your story. We provide a warm friendly atmosphere, and make sure to customize each job to the individual. We know how important photographs are in our client’s life, and we strive to capture the best images that will keep you looking back at them for years to come!

Equipment:
We shoot everything digitally. We come equipped with a Canon 30D, 10D, and 300D and an array of Canon lenses. We carry backup lenses, batteries, Speedlite Flashes, and CompactFlash cards.
We feel that continuing education is very important and we are always learning new techniques that hone our skills and give us the opportunity to offer what the customer wants.
