Ray Johnson is an amazing nature photographer in the town I live in. That's how we met, through our mutual love of photography, and since then I see him at events and whatnot. Through him I met his daughter, Audra, and her son Matthew who is on his way to also being an accomplished photographer. Recently, I was asked to photograph Matthew and his friend's homecoming portraits, and we had a blast running around the fountain at Stetson snapping photos. It's always so much more fun when you are working with someone who enjoys photography just as much as you do, and doesn't mind being in front of the camera. Well, now I'm back with the entire family for summer vacation and Betty's birthday! The other 2/3rds of the family came in from California and Virginia for vacation, so it was time to get everyone together and get a group photo! They just managed to come during the hottest week of the summer! Thankfully, we did the shoot at Ray and Betty's house so that everyone could stay inside and keep cool while just small portions of the family would run outside for a few seconds, snap a few photos, and then return inside to cool down again. We managed to get good photos of everyone while avoiding sweat stains and shiny skin, so success! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!
That's a wrap!
