This was the first time that I photographed a wedding at 1903 Hontoon in DeLand. The venue is nestled in a spacious 11 acre property against Lake Bearsford. The upstairs had several bedrooms and a beautifully decorated living area, dining room, and kitchen for the bride to get ready in. The downstairs hosted the groom and his groomsmen as well as a kitchen where they could relax before the wedding. The downstairs of the house opened up into a large garage like venue for the reception, which then lead into a back deck where the wedding was held. The view behind the ceremony site was the lake, large oak trees as well as the small canal where boats could dock.
Cassie planner her destination wedding from up north, so we didn't get to meet before the wedding, but we corresponded through text, phone calls, and e-mails as she made sure that everything ran smoothly the day of her wedding. Although there were a couple of, "I don't know" moments, through it all Cassie continued to smile, and we just made the best of it and had fun. We had perfect weather, two perfectly in love people, and a gorgeous venue to work in! Here is a sneak peek from her wedding photos!
